Tube Strike: Get On Your Bike!

If the looming tube strike does occur, why not take the opportunity to try cycling the distance you'd usually cover on the Underground (provided it's local and within your means).

Cycle parking is available throughout the borough and below is a map indicating how many bikes can be parked at each location.

Thanks, I'm gonna investigate and see if I can securely park my bike and have a normal day in Harrow.

54 and 31 seconds, Harrow-Waterloo, not a bad way to beat the tube strike.....could do with a racing bike though!

If you get on a train you have no idea where you will end up, if anywhere. So don't bother. Trust me. I'm on a met line stuck between Harrow and Wembley Park and I've been on it since 0613 and it's now 0817

Thanks for this, useful to have even though I won't be using it today - or mayber I should. Roads will be empty - NOT!

Bike it and catch up with the bike, bemoan the tube too.

Just because your journey is OK, don't assume everyone's is. We're screwed here in Harrow, boy's GCSE exam in the balance.

We're on the move now, just approaching Harrow and Wealdstone. This is the 0741 from Berkhamsted.

Stopped outside Harrow now. In a queue. I hate the Underground but I hate the strikers more.

Am on my way to an event opening and I'm new in town. Decided to take a very expensive cab than risk the tube given the comments here. Hot pink Vogel dress.. Fits like a glove, gluttony be damned.

Crieky, I didn't even think about the poor brats who have exams. Sympathies noted.

I forsee a LU backlash given this strike is disrupting everyone and is unreasonable. Forget the trains, people. Walk or cycle instead. And keep doing it. We don't need no stinking trains.

Just read someone post this on TW:
"Home ->harrow&wealdstn ->willesdon jctn ->hmrsmth -> w.brompton -> wimbledon (still not there yet) -> kingston! Total so far: 3hrs 30 mins"

Blimey.

I used this map on the dreaded day and can't thank you enough. I know Harrow has cycle parking but it really helps to know where it is. THANKS, TA and DO IT AGAIN!

Annie L said...

I second your thought Mike, I used it too. Cheers. We don't need those big bad tube bosses!
