If the looming tube strike does occur, why not take the opportunity to try cycling the distance you'd usually cover on the Underground (provided it's local and within your means).
Cycle parking is available throughout the borough and below is a map indicating how many bikes can be parked at each location.

Damn tube strike.
Thanks, I'm gonna investigate and see if I can securely park my bike and have a normal day in Harrow.
Tubes are running but at nightmarish proportions.
Good luck all those ppl at harrow expecting to get on the 751 to londonmidland its rammed
Harrow overground closed, harrow and wealdstone impossible to get on train. Apparently jubilee running so bussing it to wembley
Got in train at Harrow and Wealdstone at last. I wish sardines could see us and get some consolation :-P
Northern Line was ok, bar a few station closures. Now on the bus to Harrow. :)
54 and 31 seconds, Harrow-Waterloo, not a bad way to beat the tube strike.....could do with a racing bike though!
Metropolitan line: Suspended btwn Amersham/Chesham/Watford and Harrow on the Hill, Baker Street and Aldgate, severe delays on rest of line.
THERE ARE TRAINS ON THE MET LINE! Harrow to Baker St. Be quick though, only until 7am makes a change from usual, IT'S ON TIME!
I am suspended between Amersham/Chesham/Watford and Harrow on the Hill and between Baker Street and Aldgate. Metline Misery.
Tube Strike Update: Metropolitan line only running between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Baker Street and that's with severe delays
Yeah that was from this morning mate, now it's running every second that hell freezes over - eg NOT AT ALL MATE
If you get on a train you have no idea where you will end up, if anywhere. So don't bother. Trust me. I'm on a met line stuck between Harrow and Wembley Park and I've been on it since 0613 and it's now 0817

Thanks for this, useful to have even though I won't be using it today - or mayber I should. Roads will be empty - NOT!
Bike it and catch up with the bike, bemoan the tube too.
As a cyclist, I cannot thank you enough for this
Stuck on train due to signal failures NOT RMT strike. One of the most painful commutes ever and I'm only going from Watford to Harrow today!
Oh Christ this is the worst journey in EVER lairy driver lairy passengers sat in Harrow.
Just because your journey is OK, don't assume everyone's is. We're screwed here in Harrow, boy's GCSE exam in the balance.
We're on the move now, just approaching Harrow and Wealdstone. This is the 0741 from Berkhamsted.
We are going to set off at 0915 to try to get from Harrow to SW6 by midday - GCSE physics this pm. Sympathies with A's please.
Stopped outside Harrow now. In a queue. I hate the Underground but I hate the strikers more.
Am on my way to an event opening and I'm new in town. Decided to take a very expensive cab than risk the tube given the comments here. Hot pink Vogel dress.. Fits like a glove, gluttony be damned.
Crieky, I didn't even think about the poor brats who have exams. Sympathies noted.
I forsee a LU backlash given this strike is disrupting everyone and is unreasonable. Forget the trains, people. Walk or cycle instead. And keep doing it. We don't need no stinking trains.
Just read someone post this on TW:
"Home ->harrow&wealdstn ->willesdon jctn ->hmrsmth -> w.brompton -> wimbledon (still not there yet) -> kingston! Total so far: 3hrs 30 mins"
Blimey.
Service operating between Baker Street and Harrow on the Hill and Baker Street and Amersham via the Fast Lines with severe delays.
I used this map on the dreaded day and can't thank you enough. I know Harrow has cycle parking but it really helps to know where it is. THANKS, TA and DO IT AGAIN!
I second your thought Mike, I used it too. Cheers. We don't need those big bad tube bosses!
Cycling rocks at the moment! Awesome weather for it
