I read this on the blog yesterday, thought it's neat then today it's all over the news! You guys always pip others to the post. Excellent stuff.
This plane is amazing and hopefully it'll never carry humans! Sorry, but solar power relies too much on a resource we don't have.
Excuse me but solar power is actually more resourceful and susatainable than any other source. As long as we have an Earth, there will be a sun. We can harness solar energy and store it. Electricity (the flavour of the year) relies on and burdens other resources (including burning fossil fuels). Solar power is a very viable and realistic option.
