London Cycle Challenge

With the London cycle hire scheme launching, cycle superhighways and a predicted Summer of Cycling, why not take this opportunity to get out and cycle more?

It'll help you get more active, healthier and could save you money if you cycle journeys you would usually take public transport or drive to. Sign up for the London Cycle Challenge and see how many miles you can clock up.

You can set up your own team or join someone else's. The challenge runs June 1-30 and is open to individuals and organisations. Find out more here.

Sounds good, I entered it two years ago and it was fun with some colleagues.

I'm all for cycling and this looks like a good idea. Will consider signing up.

Anyone else here planning to sign up and if so, which team are you going to join?

Excellent, if the weather holds up I'll be on my bike for sure. Was planning to get cycling.

Will try as I had some of the free cycle training a few months back but never been able to get back on my bike. Will have a go especially as there's no limit of where you cycle, when etc so sounds like a good time to get started.

Points system. Nice. Points make prizes.

I just signed up and called my team the Harrow Hawks. If you are interested in health and want to join our winning team, feel free to do so. Preferably Harrow residents/businesses please. Thank you.
