Me! I walked to work twice this week!
Me too, walked in from Harrow Weald to Wickes building. Ok no major shakes but I've realised I can walk every day instead of fighting for a parking spot.
Well done SDODGER, walking works! I walk whenever I can because I can't afford a gym membership plus all I wanna do is lose weight and walking everywhere helps me do that. Feel so fit compared to most people I meet who are outta breath when they climb a few stairs. Man, how'd we all get so bad?
We eat loads and don't do any exercise. Seriously. Sizes of meals has gone up, lots of saturated fats everywhere so it's unavoidable and no one works out unless they have a gym membership. It hits kids the most espe4cially when they hop on the bus for just one stop.
Walking is truly the best form of exercise and the most natural. You can figure out how long it takes to be somewhere without worrying about traffic and stuff. Love it. You can tell I'm a walker!
Brisk walking is best for losing weight. When you got to gym and go on the bike/treads all you're trying to do is elevate your heart rate and you can do that through walking. If you're really into serious working out, get a heart rate monitor and measure yours, but the more you move the fitter you are because your heart's used to pumping blood and o2 everywhere. Try it people, you won't regret it.
Walking to raise heart rate? Sounds too tiring!!!! Why do I need to exercise? I'm happy, can drive and eat what I want.
If walking sounds tiring or you can't be bothered to increase your life by decreasing your chances of illnesses, you're gone already Anon.
That's dark man, you gotta look out for yourself, if yous obese by age 16 then yous gonna have a lot of probs later. Best to get yourself walking now, true say.
DEREKBOY! I'M AT HARROW COLLEGE NOW! WANNA LINK UP!
Walk wit me Sam, outside front now.
If you seriously don't care about your heart and health you will suffer so you should do what you can while you can. Prevention is better and easier than cure. I hope you change your mind anonymous.
I walked into the civic centre this morning and have just walked home. A good 40 minute walk, the weather is very pleasant with a gentle breeze.
