Well, it seems a similar looking model is coming to the consumer market 7 years later, and yep it's got electric juice too. The model in Steven Spielberg's film was a Lexus 2054, this one's an Audi E-tron.

1. welcome back and happy new year! I loved the Green effect documentary and it was so good to see it was shot in Harrow! But I still want to see it up, hope it's not down forever!
2. The car looks WICKED! I haven't seen Minority Report (before my time) but the one on the site looks good but the Audi is SICK!
3. £100k??? Er, Tesla definitely has competition!
Happy 2010!
Happy New Year guys and yep, missed ya!
nice wheels! welcome back!
LOVE the design, hate the price. Why make these vehicles only accessible by the super-rich? We need more economy-based cars, especially in the current climate.
I think you and I would never consider this league of car anyway Wayne. Targetting those who purchase high performance and high price tag cars is a good idea. Who buys hummers and gas guzzlers? Not us ordinary folk! If they switch from those to the Audi e-tron then that's a great leap forward. I think that's why Tesla and Audi are doing this. The more moderately priced electric Citroen is for us common folk and even that's priced around £17k.
If the tax break for these vehicles comes in this year it'll make the lesser EVs cheaper for us all, but I think all standard vehicles need to be replaced by greener versions before we all switch easily, which unfortunately needs to happen fast - and it doesn't look like it will.
Linda, good point but I'd love to have this car or a Tesla, can you lend me a 100 grand?
Yeah Sam, will do, as soon as I've earned twice that much for myself, so help me make it and I'll be back in three years, promise! ;)
LOL! Three years, promise! District 9.
You're back you're back! And look you've brought snow and no gritters.. Grrr
LOL!!!!!!!!!
Electric cars are cool, I hope these kinda cars become affordable, but then that would make them non-prestige to the rich lot.
Hmm, they do look quite similar don't they, VERY SIMILAR!!!
Love the blood red colour and reading it's a great car, but yep, outta my league. I'll hunt for a consumer one instead.
Two cars, one concept. You think they subliminally wanted people to think they were buying the MR car or a real car from the future.
Loved this film, gonna have a re-watch soon!
Just seen this and cannot believe it's so similar! Typical of car companies looking to Hollywood for inspiration!!!
Weird car and too futuristic for me.
