Hollywood star Corey Feldman (The Lost Boys, The Goonies, Stand By Me, The Birthday) visited the It's Up to All of Us blog recently and was touched at the response to one of his songs from his band Truth Movement's forthcoming CD about environmental issues.
The song, 'Green is the Colour' is available free to listen to on his website and has been well received by the online community with many describing it as 'the ultimate green anthem'.
Corey was touched by the response on the It's Up to All of Us blog about his work and he may even have a message for the campaign soon. To read his reaction to what he read on this blog as well as the reason his band is called Truth Movement, visit his official blog here.
The song 'Green is the Colour' is from Truth Movement's forthcoming CD Technology Analogy which is available online here.

Wowzer, I can't believe Corey Feldman read this, this is fantastic! And his song is so cool. Go green everyone and well done Corey for supporting the green effort.
For comments for this and the previous post, please check out both posts. The previous post is currently still receiving (many) comments about Corey's work and the song, Green is the Colour.
Thanks everyone for your support. It's Up to All of Us!
I love this image - green and at what cost? The apple is so nature and the technology is offering it to you as if saying take a bite of what nature is, just don't cut your teeth on my claws because nature and technology don't go hand in hand. It's an inspiring image and reminded me of some areas of Harrow that have been overdeveloped. I hope we keep harrow green, it's the best.
the song is great, the cd looks fab and I am maha-impressed that the packaging is biodegradable and even the art is printed in soya ink! It's truely a revolutionary piece of work. Well done and here's to us all joining the truth movement...
when i read the title of this post i thought oh no i hope he hasnt checked into rehab because i thought he was clean and i was relieved to find he is clean and GREEN! awesome stuff and thanks Corey for checking this site out. The people of Harrow believe it's up to all of us and appreciate your support!! Best wishes, Sarah from Harrow.
i've commented on the other post and am continuing there. I think it's best to comment on the song there, this is more a 'cool he saw us' post.
It is indeed up to ALL of us and steps like the ones Corey's taking by using his celebrity to spread a message is nothing short of praiseworthy. Thanks Corey, you officially rock (and you may just help save the world). bring on Technology Analogy!
Only Harrow could do this. Great stuff. United we stand! Go Harrow!! yay! Now let's get Nicky Whelan back here too!
nice cover pic, very apt. AMAZING song. Green is indeed the colour and should be. Let's keep it that way. I looked out from our office window and saw so much greenery that I think we need to ensure Harrow stays this way. Thanks for this guys. thanks Corey, hopefully you'll 'check in' more regularly. How about an exclusive version of the song for us or chorus saying "Harrow, go green" - I know I'm cheeky to ask but I have to! Make it a duet with Susie!
i am Sooooo impressed Corey saw the blog and is supportng the whole green effort, well done and thanks!
Pink Floyd and the Feldman! A match made on this green earth, thanks for an awesome collaboration dude, the song ROX!
thats a very cool cover!!!
I just saw this image and on the right is the blog image of the hand holding the earth. WOW! Check it out, they look so cool side by side - one is human hands cradling the earth and this one is technological hands grasping nature - how cool is that!!!! What an analogy (of technology?)!!
This is too cool for school! FACE!
cant wait for this cd, the only think is you can't eat it, else it's a part of the planet as much as the earth. Good on yer, Corra!
top bloke for doin this, well done mate, nice art and a flipping cool song. Cheers.
Green is the colour of this generation and this song represents that perfectly. You've created a classic without knowing it. You can't engineer magic like this, it just happens.
Well done Corey! It's up to ALL of us!
check in again Corey!
Disconnected is pure raw rock n roll. Green is just serene. Can't wait for the whole experience.
Go green everyone!
truthmover, I just noticed this too - that is so cool!
The planet in our hands, nature is in our hands, don't let the robots take it from us!
Technology holds green-ness in it's hands. It has the power to preserve or destroy it and our materialistic consumerist desires are destroying the planet. More cars, more gadgets, less nature. That's what this means to me.
To me, the cover represents how it really is up to all of us. Technology has a hand and we control it. Our actions have a cause/effect reaction onto the environment. It's like this blog and how being green is up to all of us. We can CHOOSE to make a difference and THINK about how what we're doing affects everything. The electric cars on here, the DIY electric car, the decision to take public transport or walk/cycle etc.. it all has an impact and not just today but forever. We HAVE to make the change now.
Technology analogy to me means that we are humans and have a basis of life, and should act like it by respecting and preserving all other living things, not blurring the lines between us and technology by becoming soulless machines that are driven by the end result.
Awesome pic.
Mack 21 and It's up to me too! - excellent comments and thoughts. Very deep! Truthmover, you true too! Dang you guys are deep!!!!
Terminator hand wants apple. Apple = green. Green = nature. Do we allow technology to progress at the cost of the earth?
Is a temporary comfort better than a lifelong legacy? Think about it..
KEEP HARROW GREEN!
cause and effect is everything. I agree. It's like the Matrix we're all stuck in. Consumerism = new toys for the elite that drink electricity and drain our natural resources. Forget that, let's go back to how nature intended. Eat a fruit or a root, not a living thing! Go green and save the world. You can do it if you put you're thought into it.
he was awesome at the q+a, said if we hated the cd we could toss it in the ocean and it'd silently disappear! Like he says on his blog, this dude rocks.
The song is great as is disconnected. Very different sounding and seems to be not following any rules or format, which means it's punk in a way! Wicked man!
bring on the CD! Tour, tour, tour!!!!
Videos anyone? C'mon, make a video! I want a poster of the CD cover, anyone have an idea where I can get one?
Titled "Technology Analogy", the album reflects on the pros and cons of computer technology and how it is integrated into today’s society. How did it begin? Where did science derive from? And will communication and social interaction inevitably suffer from its evolution. These are the themes "Technology Analogy" seeks to explore.
awesome, thanks, verrrrrry intrestng
communication will suffer as a result of technological evolution. Personal letters are now email. Meetings are now done on the phone. VOD replaces video rentals and so everything is designed so you don't have to leave your space, which means less social interaction and therefore less caring about the human race. Wake up people, we are in THE MATRIX!!!
or maybe it's the other way round: technology is just a mirror of nature. The same way you peel away the skin of an apple and it's soft, textures, layers and complicated structures until you get to the core and see it all originated from a seed, technology is the same. One chip is all it needs, the rest is just the layers, the structure etc.
So maybe it's saying accept technology because it IS nature and the next phase of evolution!
the apple is being offered by technology -will you take the 1st bite/byte? What will it be - natural or genetically engineered? Will you even be able to tell? The key is that on the surface, they're the same, it's what's underneath that counts.
It's the question that drives us..
whoa, deep discussions! Loving the song, I want it on CD!!!
apple represents nature - adam, eve and the apple. This one fruit ended up meaning the fate of humanity, so maybe the future is held by technology as long as we use it and don't abuse it.
Green is the Colour is right on. It's what the world needs today. We need to make a stand for us and the future. I command Corey for being so out spoken about what he cares about. It's going to be a hit for Truth Movement. Check out Truth Movement Official MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/technologyanalogy

Green is more than an anthem, it's the start of a movement. I can't wait to see this song live like everyone else, but at the same time I hope it comes out on DVD as a live performance because I fear seeing it live with bad acoustics, terrible view and it not living up to my expectations. The best would be to see a perfectly shot live performance with excellent sound. Here's to us all getting the opportunity to and I'm in Germany so here's hoping he tours London, Germany, the rest of Europe and the US.
Go green everyone!
I think this album and all it starts is gonna be bigger than anything in the 2000s. It's going to be a uniting force that connects us all and kicks us into action. I can't wait to find out the story fo Technology Analogy and am looking forward to it like nothing else. Wicked image, great tunes (Disconnected and Green) and sounds like a real song. bring on November!
Corey is a really talented guy, I loved the kids movies but this is ace. The Birthday is awesome and shows an untapped reservoir of talent in Corey the adult actor and the song Green just says it all, you don't sing with Carin and sound that good unless you've got what it takes. Truth Movement, come to UK! You guys rock!
I'm with you anon: not an anthem but a real movement. Mark my words, this song will be remembered for years as one that rallied the troops and got everyone together for the common cause.
So many people are loving this song and singing it to themselves, it's only a matter of time til it's passed on, generation to generation as a message of hope, a tale of truth and one that provides the info people need to act and save our environment, no matter what stage we're at.
Congrats Corey, you just gave birth to a revolution.
amazng song!
is it just me or is this the most exciting album release of this year? Its been a crap year for music and when somthing like this comes along it has a message, an organic sound and is positive. Can't wait!
Coool that he checked here, he's obviously not a faker but the real deal. Good to know some celebs make time and give their all to causes. Now if only he'd comment on here too!
loving the album cover, very much a conversation starter, here's to the technology analogy!
LOL@name Fred Bassett, what a blast from the past!
But yeah on a serious tip, very cool image, reminds me of Dark Side of the Moon - an image inspires a thousand thoughts. Ironic that he's collaborating with PInk Floyd too, real music y'all!
It is AMAZING that he checked here and so sweet of him to mention this blog on his site, you ROCK COREY!!!!!
