A while ago, two students from Harrow set to take Europe by storm on their electric bikes. They were on a mission to test electric vehicles and their practicality as well as represent a British invasion of environmental proportions to our European counterparts.
The results were documented and have now been entered into an environmental film festival. One of the riders is going green, kicking and screaming. Check out his blog at http://www.hategreen.net/.
It's good to see people in Harrow so passionate about the cause!
Also this weekend sees our 'Electric City' promotion. Various electric vehicles will be popping up around the borough with our It's Up to All of Us campaign branding. Watch for them and see where you can spot them. You might even see a car or two mentioned on this blog, so catch a glimpse of the future...
Have you seen one of the cars? Let us know where and see if you can take a photo of one. Blog it!

Looking forward to checking out both: the weekend cars (if I can find them) and the electric bike docs.
Could there be a Tesla in Harrow?
Now THAT would be something!!!
yeah, tell us. we know you've tested one and want to see one in Harrow. Have you got one coming through Harrow? I want to see one!!!!
this documentary clip is hilarious, THESE GUYS ARE MAD!!! Where can I see the whole thing? Is this a film or web thing? is it anywhere in Harrow?
The future car, the future car, the future car! I wanna see the future car!
The XR future car reminds me of the episode of Simpsons where Homer designs a car. Not that this one looks anything like it, but it's cool you can build your own. I hope someone has built one in time for the weekend although I highly doubt it. maybe one of the prototypes?
Electric bikers look insane, would really like to see this!
Any electric bikes on this tour of harrow?
This looks ace, where can we see it?
Which bikes were used, how much did they cost and how far did the guys make it? How was the journey, did it succeed?
Wow, a greenie in Harrow. Cool.
Can the bikes carry more than one passenger?
