European Mobility Week

Yesterday saw the official launch of this year's European Mobility week, which is an annual sporadic burst of activity centred around sustainable forms of transport. This year the week runs from September 16th through to 22nd. Harrow is supporting this year's effort through the It's Up to All of Us campaign which has spread its wings and is now being seen across Harrow and online in an integrated effort to shift the focus onto individual responsibility to take care of our precious environment through making better travel choices.
The positive feedback and support to this campaign has shaken everyone to their core and we thank everyone who has helped through doing what they can, when they can. Small changes in our lifestyles will reap environmental dividends.
To launch European Mobility Week and keep with this year's theme of 'clean air for all', we have uploaded a game on our sister site http://www.breatheinharrow.co.uk/ which allows anyone with a USB/external mic or laptop to try and save Harrow from traffic pollution. Have a go and give your lungs a real workout!
This also begins the efforts towards supporting October's Walk to School month where this year apart from having competitions running across schools in the borough, an interactive air quality session is planned at two schools. No doubt the game will also be demonstrated in classrooms and we look forward to feeding back on it.
More updates as the week progresses...

Thar she blows! I thought this would be ok but it's great fun the more you play it. I even got my brother to play it with me and we both think it's impossible to save Harrow in the game. Hope that's not the case in real life!

I have played this 9 times today and each time with more people. We need a bigger mic.
