Harrow's "It's Up to All of Us" travel awareness campaign has gone from strength to strength, promoting walking, cycling, car sharing and using public transport as a means to alleviate traffic congestion and transport pollution. The campaign's website at http://www.itsuptoallofus.co.uk/ has featured lively discussions between Harrovians on local sustainable transport issues, images and videos from events such as Harrow's first ever Mass Bike Ride, Walk to Work Day event as well as London's first ever travel awareness podcast and more.
The campaign which focuses on individual responsibility as part of a collective effort to save the planet, has received accolades from Transport for London, an Internet life award for marketing and the endorsement of Hollywood actress and former Neighbours star Nicky Whelan, who appears on the posters and banners for the campaign.
The promotional banners currently feature on lamp posts in Harrow town centre and at Harrow Civic Centre with support from the Asset Management & Facilities team as a reminder to do what we can, when we can.
