Beyonce's Bike Ride

It's great to see singer Beyonce out on a bike in Dublin, enjoying the weather and getting some great press that comes at the same time as the new Catch Up with the Bicycle campaign.
Apart from cycling, Beyonce has previously stated her keep fit routine includes walking on an incline. Does anyone need further proof that walking and cycling can keep you fit?

I couldn't have said it better: fitness divine is Beyonce and if she's walking and cycling, I'm buying a bike next week!!!!!

I've seen this pic in the papers and was laughing, it's brilliant someone as huge as her can get out there and do something like this. I actually went for a bike ride yesterday 1) cos of the weather, 2) cos of Beyonce's pic plastered everywhere on a bike.

Gary, you know you wish you ran into her!

Yeah course! Why you think I took the bike out!

beyonce on a bike is beautiful. I love the pic and hadn't seen it until I saw it here and then found some more online. She's so graceful. I need to get back on me bike.

All the single ladies... get on a bike and show your man you're an independant woman!

I love this woman and she looks amazing in a hite vest and a bike. Man I wish I'd see her on my street, I'd be running after her.

Beyonce has upped her page count, hit rate and sold more tickets by getting on a bike. Genius, cool and responsible. Go girl!

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike.. she looks like an angel gliding the streets of Dublin. Man she's beautiful.

I have printed this pic off and will stick it to my helmet to remind everyone who thinks cycling is uncool that they are wrong. Of course everyone will point out she's not weraring a helmet but so what. It's Beyonce!!!

Did anyone else also notice she's on the pavement?

Sianne said...

Er, no actually she's not. She's on the road within the markings. Don't dump on Beyonce.

And it starts..

Leticia F said...

No, no please no fights!!! Ok so she's not wearing a helmet, that's fine. Neither are the cats on the catch up bicycle posters! And she's definitely not on the pavement so there you go.

Now can we go back to gloating about our new cycling hero?

yes, let's bask in the beauty and glow of Beyonce before she goes back on her private plane to the US and celebrate her biking adventures which will most likely be leisurely at best.

Warren Haines said...

What do you want? Her to cycle to work from the US to the UK? Or to cycle to the O2? Or to walk to work? I think people need to get back on topic and be more positive. She's been pictured EVERYWHERE ON A BIKE! That's good for everyone and sends a great message out there. Props to her!

If walking and cycling can make you look like Beyonce, I'm burning my car!!!!

Anonymous said...

Don't burn your car, it'll cause a whole ozone layer depletion.

I for one am ecstatic at this pic. Cycling's fun for everyone. Rock gods included.

I am in love with this image, it's so different from the sexy image you see of her as a star and makes you realise that she is just like all of us. And to see her on a bike is fantastic! Thanks Beyonce, love you!

Gotta add my two cents worth, she does look gorgeous.

Beyonce is more than a singer, she's a style icon and a role model for a generation. That's why images like this of her are not only inspiring but important. I have since bought tickets to see her at the O2 just because I'm now in love with her!!!

Gary reid said...

Superb Beyonce, you look amazing!

I am so happy the picture that came out was not of her in a hummer. Ahem Arnie.

She looks like she's riding into my dreams and saying 'wake up. Get outside, it's a gorgoues day. Grab the bike!'

Beautiful, spellbinding and a true independent woman. Love her. Forever.

I really hope she bikes in Harrow, I'd pay to see that!!!

I really like the Catch up with the Bicycle campaign and love that Beyonce's not only got onto a bike but also spoken about it. She is a true blue heroine for all she does. She acts, sings, dances and even does what she can for the planet (and herself). A real true to life role model indeed. We love you Beyonce!

Anyone know what bike she has? She's brill.

Beyonce is an amazing powerhouse of a force and an inspiration. Her whole family is. Her sister has a really cute quality and recently performed in the UK and was fantastic. I love Beyonce and Solange, I just wish they'd live here as the UK needs more positive role models like them.

There has never been nor will there ever be anyone who represents to a generation what Beyonce does to this one. She has exceeded divas before her and set a precedent for those after her. I must admit I'm a fan but I never knew she loved cycling. To see this image of her cycling in Dublin was just amazing, because I cycle - both for fitness and the planet and I'm certain she must care for the environment too.

Thank you Beyonce if you're reading, we love you!

Susan Johnson said...

To say she's amazing really does not do her justice. I am in love with this image and she's absolutely fabulous. I want to ride a bike because of this image.

So so casual, so pretty and such a talent. Proof that we have geniuses today too. I loved her duet with Prince at the Awards a few years back. Floored me and knocked me for six.

How long did she cycle for? What was her impression of Irish (and if cycled in London) the British scenary? Hope she found our roads a treat although I wish we had better cycle lanes.

Update: I have taken my bike out of the shed and had it serviced and will go on my 1st bike ride in 12 years (weather permitting) on the weekend. And it's mostly because of this post and image. Thank you.

Is it weird that I still look at this picture and it still makes me want to cycle even though Beyonce is now gone and the weather is rubbish?
