Sustainable transport is all about walking, cycling, car sharing and using public transport. In St George's time, the wheelbarrow may have been a viable green option too, as we discovered thanks to a resident in Pinner who kindly sent us some images from the celebrations in Pinner. A traditional 'St George' figure appeared on horseback too and much fun was had. It was a true celebration of the street and all it can be. Thanks to James Bond from Pinner for these images.

Great pics, shows how unpredictable the weather can be. I'm viewing these on Monday morning and it's miserable and soaking wet. Great to know the sun shines on Pinner though when it can, and some good community spirit.
I was there and it was fun, a bit too much drinking there though in what I thought was an alcohol exclusion zone. Not a very ideal environment for young kids, but if you could cover their eyes for that bit, the rest was very nice. The St George on the horse was wonderful and yes, there was a strong community turn out for it too.
Lovely day out, cheers!
St george's day was fantastic, better than in St George's centre!
Pinner is really one of the warmest hubs of Harrow and I missed the event but heard it went fantastically. Well done to all those who took part and organised it.
brilliant day out, gromit!
Great photos and a fun day out. The wheelbarrows were wild!
